Who Awards Your ATHE Qualification?
Your qualification is awarded by ATHE (Awards for Training and Higher Education), a UK awarding organisation regulated by Ofqual. Bradford International Alliance (BIA) does not award ATHE qualifications. BIA is an ATHE registered centre that delivers and supports the ATHE Diploma Programmes listed on this page. BIA has its head office in Leicester, United Kingdom, an outreach office in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, and a branch in Johannesburg, South Africa.
How ATHE Diploma Study Works
ATHE Diploma Programmes with BIA are studied online by distance learning, so working professionals can study around their jobs. You work through each unit at your own pace, with guidance from BIA, and complete the assessments set for the qualification. ATHE qualifications are usually assessed through written assignments rather than exams.
Study online while you work
There are no fixed classroom sessions to attend. You study from home or the workplace and plan your time around your professional commitments.
Support from enquiry to completion
BIA advisors help you choose the right level and subject, explain the admission steps and support you during your studies.
Certificate, Diploma or Extended Diploma?
ATHE qualifications come in different sizes. A certificate is a shorter qualification that covers a focused set of units. A diploma covers a broader set of units. An extended diploma is the largest, covering the widest range of units at that level. The level tells you how demanding the qualification is, and the size tells you how much study it involves.
What does Gen Ed mean?
Some Level 4 and Level 5 Business and Management diplomas come in a Gen Ed version, which includes general education units. Ask an advisor whether the Gen Ed version suits your plans.
Entry Requirements for ATHE Diploma Programmes
Each ATHE qualification has its own entry requirements, set out in ATHE’s qualification specification. They are usually based on your previous study, your work experience and your English language level. Mature learners with relevant work experience may be considered. A BIA advisor will check your background against the requirements before you apply.
